WALNUT CREEK, Calif., Dec. 5, 2012
– ClickSafety, a leading provider of online safety training, today announced its Introduction to NFPA 70E, a course addressing the importance of electrical safety in the workplace. The new 45-minute online course complements ClickSafety’s comprehensive portfolio of electrical safety training offerings and is part of the company’s updated OSHA 30-Hour course.
Electrical hazards rank among the top 10 areas commonly cited by OSHA, and without proper training and
preparation, can represent extreme risk within the construction, environmental and general industries.
ClickSafety’s new course is designed to provide a comprehensive introduction to OSHA’s safety standards for
anyone who works on electrical systems in the workplace. The safety topics, appropriate for both employers
and workers, include how to identify and protect oneself from electrical safety hazards leading to arc flash, and
how to establish an electrically safe work environment as outlined in the latest OSHA NFPA 70E standards,
updated in 2012.
“This introductory course meets an important industry need and is a strong addition to our portfolio of OSHA
10- and 30-hour course offerings,” said Brian Tonry, ClickSafety executive vice president and general
manager. “Like all of our courses, it provides information that is extremely relevant for employers who are
accountable for creating a safe work environment, as well as for those who work in that environment.”
ClickSafety has a long-standing relationship with OSHA and offers more than 300 courses, 50 in Spanish.
ClickSafety was the first to offer both the OSHA 10-Hour Construction and the 30-Hour Construction Courses
online. ClickSafety is OSHA-authorized to offer the newly updated OSHA 10-Hour Construction, 30-Hour
Construction and 10-Hour General Industry courses that include the highest standards of increased student
interactivity and safety content. In addition to the updated OSHA courses, the company offers the 10-Hour
Road Builder, 10-Hour Cal/OSHA and 10-Hour Construction Spanish courses.
