The Advanced Asbestos Awareness in Schools training from ClickSafety is a certificate/card level course designed to meet the annual OSHA (40 CFR 763.92) and Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) regulatory requirements in one, two-hour course. Asbestos training is required upon initial assignment, as well as annually, for all those who perform housekeeping operations in area which asbestos containing materials (ACM) or presumed asbestos containing materials (PACM).
This particular training familiarizes participants with basic occupational safety and health principles, as well as essential techniques related to asbestos awareness in schools. This course is geared towards all maintenance and custodial personnel, but will benefit all those who may come into contact with ACM or PACM.
NOTICE: Any maintenance for custodial staff whose duties will result in the disturbance of ACM or PACM must receive an additional 14 hours of training prior to starting work.
