In the State of California, construction workers must adhere to specific Division of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), often called Cal/OSHA, guidelines when erecting, using, and disassembling scaffolding. Additionally, erection and dismantling of scaffolding must be performed under the direction of Qualified Persons to ensure the safety of their users. In Cal Scaffold Use for Construction, participants will receive intermediate-level CA scaffold training that they can apply in the field within just 30 minutes via an intuitive online format.

NOTE: This course is based on Cal/OSHA regulations for all construction professionals employed in the state. For those working outside California, please consult our courses based on federal OSHA regulations.

Scaffolding allows construction professionals to reach their worksites quickly and easily. Although these temporary structures are convenient, proper scaffold use requires adequate training to ensure user safety. This course covers many important topics, including:

Once participants complete this course, they will gain accident prevention skills that they can apply when working with or near scaffolding. For example, they will become familiar with the Cal/OSHA permit requirements for scaffolds, understand how scaffolds are erected, inspected, safely accessed, and disassembled, and learn more about the qualifications of the workers who assemble them.
