    Course Overview

    This California OSHA Heat Illness Prevention course for workers is based on the State of California OSHA regulations and is intended for those California employees in all industries, including Construction, Manufacturing, Agricultural, Transportation and General Industry, who have the potential for exposure to heat illness on the job site. This course will familiarize the student with the basics of heat illness, its symptoms and ways it can be prevented.

    Note: This course is based on State of California OSHA regulations for those employees who work in California. For those working outside California, please see the ClickSafety course designed and based on Federal OSHA regulations.

    Upon successful completion of the course, each student will get a ClickSafety Certificate of Completion that will show the 0.1 Continuing Education Unit (CEUs) and 1 Contact Hour received for this course. ClickSafety is an authorized provider of IACET CEUs.

    This ClickSafety Cal/OSHA Heat Illness training course is intended for all Construction and General Industry workers in California who are potentially exposed to heat illness and stress during their job.

    Upon completion of this course the participant will be able to:

    2. Recognize the causes of heat illness
    3. Recognize the symptoms of heat illness
    4. Identify ways to prevent heat illness
    5. Recognize high heat procedures, including how to respond to a heat illness emergency
