OSHA 10 cards, also known as DOL cards, are official cards provided by the US Department of Labor (DOL). Many construction and general industry jobsites require employees to bring their OSHA 10 card with them. Featuring QR codes and watermarks to reduce the risk of fraud, these cards are an important part of furnishing completion of jobsite safety and hazard requirements for individuals.
The minimum requirement is 10 hours for OSHA 10-training, but the course is self-paced and can take longer if needed. OSHA requires that all OSHA 10 courses be completed within 180 days from the individual’s start date.
The final exam for the online OSHA 10-Hour course has 40 questions.
Your OSHA course includes 180 days of access to the online course from the day you start the course and a plastic OSHA card that you will be receiving upon successfully completing the course.
OSHA courses only allow 3 attempts for all checkpoint exams, as well as the final exam. The final exam requires a minimum score of 70% to pass, as required by OSHA-Authorized Online Outreach Training Providers program.
As soon as you complete the final exam and submit the OSHA Course Evaluation, you will be able to print an OSHA 10-hour certificate directly from your computer. Plastic OSHA DOL cards are shipped within two weeks of course completion.
ClickSafety recommends that individuals renew their OSHA 10-Hour training online every 3-4 years in order to stay current with new and changing OSHA regulations. While DOL cards do not expire at the federal level, some states, industries, and jobsites may have their own individual requirements.
We recommend OSHA 10 online training because it offers superior flexibility and affordability. ClickSafety’s OSHA 10 online course allows you to work at your own pace, anytime and anywhere, and is generally less expensive than in-person classes due to reduced overhead. In-person training is less flexible, more costly, and requires you to adhere to a set schedule and location. Choose the OSHA 10 online course if you want convenience and cost savings.
People often say “OSHA 10 certification” or “OSHA 10 certification online” because it’s a common name for OSHA Outreach Training Program. However, despite common misconceptions, OSHA does not certify workers, so you cannot get an OSHA 10 certification. However, you can earn an OSHA 10 card by completing a course through an OSHA-authorized training provider, such as ClickSafety.
Being OSHA-authorized means that ClickSafety has met the rigorous standards set by OSHA to deliver OSHA 10-hour training courses. When purchasing training for yourself or a group, it's crucial to ensure the provider's authenticity, as not all companies are OSHA-authorized. OSHA provides a list of trusted online providers, like ClickSafety, which collaborate with designated OSHA Training Institutes to uphold the quality of these courses.
