Referencing the Resource Conversation and Recovery Act (RCRA) of 1979, this course addresses hazardous waste regulations and the principles of waste disposal.
Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasures (SPCC)
Participants will learn about the EPA’s Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) rule, which helps organizations prevent, prepare for, and respond to oil discharges into bodies of water.
Participants will learn the importance of developing and implementing a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) to include protocols for stormwater control.
National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Awareness
Participants will learn about the NPDES program and how it regulates and controls the discharge of pollutants from source points throughout the United States.
Throughout this training, participants will learn about the provisions set forth in the EPA’s Universal Waste Program, including identification and management thereof.
