OVERVIEW

ClickSafety's NYC DOB-approved 8-Hour Site Safety (SST Only) course is designed to help fulfill the Supervisor SST card requirement or Supervisor SST card renewal requirements. This course provides a detailed overview of Chapter 33 and the Rules of the City of New York related to public protection. Participants will learn about the hazards of working in New York City. In New York City, Local Law 196 of 2017 (LL196) requires that workers and supervisors receive safety training. Once fully phased in, this law mandates that workers at specific worksites receive 40 hours of safety training and supervisors receive 62 hours of safety training.

NOTE: This self-paced, on-demand training course is only acceptable for 8-Hour Site Safety Training and not for use for site safety and construction superintendents license renewals.

NYC SAF-203 8-Hour Site Safety (SST Only) is an awareness-level online course. It offers 8 hours of refresher training as mandated by Title 1 of the Rules of the City of New York § 104-06 Continuing Education Requirements. In addition, it is perfect for construction workers and supervisors preparing to earn a Site Safety Training (SST) card. Approved by the NYC Department of Buildings (DOB), this course provides the knowledge, skills, tools, example steps, requirements, and resources necessary to promote a safe and healthy worksite.

NOTICE: This course uses voice authentication. VA courses were developed in conjunction with the NYC Department of Buildings (NYC DOB) to address LL196 online course proctoring requirements. These voice-authenticated courses represent a best practice to ensure the identity of the student by prompting users to verify their voice at random intervals throughout the course. Users must have access to a mobile phone or landline while taking the course to successfully meet this requirement. NYC DOB Provider ID Number: CP125

The SST certificate will be issued once you submit your attestation, complete identity verification, and finish the course, including the final evaluation.

Your ClickSafety’s Certificate of Completion, showing you’ve earned 0.8 CEUs from an IACET‑accredited provider, will be available in your learner history.

The SST card will need to be purchased separately.

You can do this by purchasing the Site Safety Training (SST) Card course, which guides you through Training Connect’s process to receive your SST Card and meet New York City Local Law 196 of 2017 (LL 196).
