ClickSafety Virtual Teambuilding Event Results in Donation to Americares

A group from ClickSafety truly got into the spirit of giving by taking part in a virtual teambuilding experience to help show their support and appreciation for Healthcare Heroes associated with Americares. The result of their efforts was a generous donation of 30 “Beads for Heroes” gift boxes, as well as a $250 financial contribution. The event took place on February 12, 2021 via video conference.

ClickSafety worked with Impact 4 Good (www.impact4good.com), a company that runs socially conscious teambuilding programs, to plan an event that would be fun and creative for socially distancing participants, while making a difference. The program selected was called “Hero Beads for Healthcare First Responders”. During the activity, 30 participants gathered virtually to collaborate with colleagues, and assemble “Beads for Heroes” gift boxes, each with a bracelet, gift card and a unique “Message of Thanks”. The completed gift boxes were then shipped to Americares to show their support and appreciation for Americares and healthcare heroes!

For over 40 years, Americares has been a leader in providing access to medicine and care to the world’s most vulnerable. While everyone is affected by the coronavirus outbreak, vulnerable people in under resourced areas will be especially impacted. Since it was established in 1979, Americares has distributed more than $19 billion in humanitarian aid to 164 countries. Their health programs and medical donations reach an average of 90 countries each year, including the United States. Americares carries out health programs in over 20 countries and maintains offices in nine countries including Colombia, El Salvador, Haiti, India, Liberia, Malawi, the Philippines, Tanzania, and the United States, including Puerto Rico.

Americares is a health-focused relief and development organization that responds to people affected by poverty or disaster with life-changing medicine, medical supplies, and health programs. When people are in crisis, Americares make sure that health comes first. Their programs help communities prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters; increase access to critical medicine and medical supplies; improve and expand clinical services; and prevent disease and promote good health in vulnerable communities.

Sarah Lowy, Senior Associate-Development, joined the call to graciously thank the ClickSafety Team for their generous gifts. Later, Christine Squires, President and CEO of Americares, went on to say “Americares mission is to meet the health needs of the most vulnerable communities in the world. Together, our work will help people thrive and improve the health of those affected by poverty and disaster…I am humbled to have the commitment of supporters like you. I am confident we will get through this crisis together. Thank you again for your generosity.”
