What is NYC SST Training?

How many hours of training do I need to get an SST card?
For a new SST card, all workers on construction sites with a Site Safety Plan must complete a minimum of 40 hours of SST training. Supervisors must complete a minimum of 62 hours of training.
How do I get a NYC SST card?
After completing your required site safety training (SST) courses, you must complete the Site Safety Training (SST) Card course. The SST Card Course can be purchased separately and is included in some Safety Packs. The SST Card Course provides step-by-step instructions on how to apply for your SST Card, including all necessary documents, such as your certificates of completion for each course. It can be used for first time, renewal or replacement SST cards. After you've successfully applied, your SST card will be shipped in 5-7 days. Options for expedited shipping or same-day delivery are available.
Does my SST card expire?
All workers and supervisors must take refresher training every 5 years to keep their site safety training card current. Workers must complete 8 hours of refresher training. Supervisors must complete 16 hours of refresher training.
